there are many other items you shouldn't give people, also because of the same reason, such as fragrance (the feelings will fade), shoes (that person will walk out of your life), tie (can't remember why).  I was told of many other items. if I believe these superstitious stuff, I'm left with only gift cards (which to me, isn't real gift)
